Relining

What is it?
Relining is a proven and established method of placing a new pipe within an existing damaged pipe without excavation and with minimal disruption.

When is Relining used?
Drains and sewers crack due to ground movement, subsidence, tree root infiltration, or corrosion - or they just totally collapse. The result is a structurally defective drain causing repeat blockages or leaks into the surrounding soil.
The use of a resin drain liner inserted into an existing drainpipe is now a common practice. The process can be undertaken in a matter of hours and greatly reduces inconvenience to the customer. The most appropriate solution can be determined via a careful post installation CCTV inspection.

How is it installed?
Where the drain is damaged along its length, the whole section can be lined. It involves the insertion of a lining "sock" impregnated with a polyester resin fibre along the length of the damaged drain. It is then moulded into place using air or water pressure and left to cure. The result is a new fibre reinforced pipe within the old damaged pipe.

What are the benefits of Relining?
